Selas Fluid specialty chemical fire heaters are specified for many unique chemical processes, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Reactor feed heaters and steam superheaters for styrene monomer facilities
- Thermal cracking of acetic acid to produce ketene and acetic anhydride
- Benzene to biphenyl
- Heating natural gas while vaporizing and superheating sulfur to combine into carbon bisulfide
- Superheating of oxygen and titanium tetrachloride titanium dioxide facilities
- Second generation pyrolysis heaters for the fragrance industry
Selas Fluid also offers synergistic solutions combining waste destruction and process fluid heat recovery in one system. The
Furnace/Incinerator Hybrid combines the T-Thermal waste destruction technology with our heat transfer technology. Selas Fluid is one of the few companies capable of offering sole-source responsibility for this unique application as illustrated by the following examples:
- Oxidation of waste tar for preheat of aniline process gas
- Oxidation of hydrocarbon with fuel-bound nitrogen waste to preheat transfer fluid
- Oxidation of acetylene waste gas for preheat of multiple process gases
The success of our efforts is readily measured by our continuing leadership role in the specialized furnace market.
