Fired Heat Exchangers - The Technology
 Low Btu fired heat exchanger | Fuel-fired heat exchangers heat a fluid without contact between hot combustion gases and the fluid being heated. The units are capable of raising temperatures of gas, liquid, air and steam to 1800o F (980o) and pressure up to 5000 psig (350 Kg/cm2). Single unit heat transfer duties run up to 50MM Btu/hr (15MW). |
Fired Heat Exchangers - Advantages
- Soot-free combustion with oil, gas, or alternative fuels
- High thermal efficiency - low excess air. Flue-gas recycling and combustion air preheating are options designed to lower fuel costs.
- Low pressure drop. Process fluid passes parallel, multiple tubes, saving on horsepower.
