(Blue Bell, PA) December 19, 2006 - Selas Fluid Processing has received an order for a new ethylene cracking furnace as part of an expansion at PTT Chemical Public Co. Ltd.'s ethylene plant in Thailand.
According to Paul van Helmond, Product Manager for Ethylene Technologies at Selas Fluid, the new furnace will provide a capacity of 90 kta. Under the contract, Selas Fluid and a local engineering and construction company will design and erect the furnace with a new pipe rack and all necessary tie-ins. The furnace will be designed with Linde's Pyrocrack® 2-2 coil, which provides excellent yields for gas cracking as well as a very high on-stream factor. The furnace will be equipped with the latest design of ultra-low NOx burners to meet PTT Chemical's very stringent emission requirements.
